What People Are Saying

“I lead a weekly men’s “breakfast” fellowship.  These days it is on Zoom rather than in a restaurant, and that works out well since a few of our members are not in the area.

Not infrequently my lesson or devotional is reading something you have written.  This morning’s was “Love Me Anyway” .

Using my very limited Zoom meeting hosting skills, I started the lesson by “sharing” my screen with a music video of Pink and Chris Stapleton singing the song, where the video portion showed the lyrics.  Then I read your lesson.  It was very moving and effective and sparked a really useful (and fairly lengthy – for us anyway) conversation about God’s love.

I just wanted you to know how much your inspired writings open our minds and hearts to understand more about God and our relationship with him.  Thank you.”

About Me

I have been the Senior Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Delray Beach, Florida since 2012. I hold a Master of Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. I was the Moderator of the Presbytery of Tropical Florida and was a commissioner to my denomination’s General Assembly in 2014 and 2016. I am the author of several books including Nurture Faith: Five Minute Meditations to Strengthen Your Walk with Christ. I am married to Grace and have two children, Nathanael and Rachael.
